Following up on the previous post about Valentino's exhibition, "Master of Couture", here are some pictures of Fall-Winter 2013. Blue, from deep navy shades to saphire down to the grey-ish, runs through the collection in flowing, silky dresses with watercolour patterns or heavily embroidered crochet. Collars are a must, appearing both in long evening dresses (with strictly long sleeves) to short, more 60s inspired frocks. There is just something about collars that I love; whether it is a white crisp one appearing from a knitted jumper or a men's levi's denim shirt. Maybe it reminds me of private English boarding schools, or Gossip Girl's Constance Uniform. There is something childish but noughty and mysterious at the same time.
With long, neat braids (Rapunzel-esque) and a simple black satin ribbon across the head, this collection continues the fairytale inspiration the maison has created so well. These dresses would make any girl feel like a princess...
XOXO
P.D. Did you notice the bright red nails? Classic and colour popping. ♥
