Heavy embroidery, bright and primal colours, pagan gold necklaces in shapes of animal heads, clean, straight cut garments... The inmediate source of inspiration for this collection might not be clear but it was Opera; more especifically, Maria Callas playing "Medea" in 1969 film and costume drawings from Rome's Opera House did the trick. A mixture of Greek peasants, Ethnic motifs and the poise (and hairstyles) from a 16th century portrait. Women transformed in Godesses.
Welcome to Valentino
